Now in development / Pre-orders Eventually
The console built for indie culture. Physical media. Real social. Engine freedom. 90% revenue to the people who make the games.
Community Projects! (Work in Progress. There's a shit ton)
Meet the Mascot
A raccoon with a purple bandana. He owns no other clothes fashionable enough to flaunt. Lazy. Gluttonous. Lurking, and stalking. He spends his days eating, drinking, sleeping, and gaming in alarming excess. He's a chud. We love him. (Made by Rigby @ToastGh0ast)

Pre-Order
Pre-order batch size determined by demand. Plenty of color customization available. Quality over Quantity.
What is Warpdrive
Web games via Chromium with WebGPU. Native ARM binaries later down the line for full-performance titles, and the freedom to choose your game engine. From unity, or GMS2, to Scratch, GBStudio, and GDevelop, with dozens of tools in-between.
The console Developers grew up with Newgrounds, Itch.io, and Gamejolt. PS3, Xbox360, and Wii modding culture. Open firmware. Moddable frontend, and a homebrew launcher out of the box. Warpdrive wouldn't exist without console-modding.
Full-size DVD in purple collector cases. Warpdrive has a disc drive for physical games. It exists for collectors, or those without Wi-Fi. And hey, you can install the discs to storage, too.
Under the Hood
The Qualcomm QCS6490 is an industrial-grade 6nm SoC with an octa-core Kryo 670 CPU. It's designed for always-on edge devices but has more than enough muscle for running indie games smoothly. It has a consumer-counterpart called the Snapdragon 778G, so think Linux gaming performance, industrial-grade hardware, stable clocks, low thermals, and long-term silicon availability.
The Adreno 643 supports Vulkan 1.1 and OpenGL ES 3.2. The real play: WebGPU through Chromium gives developers a modern GPU API with compute shaders, instanced rendering, and enough headroom to push 2D games hard and run 3D titles at respectable framerates. Hardware-accelerated video decode for media-rich menus and cutscenes. 4K@60Hz is easily doable as well. (If you know how to optimize lol)
8GB of LPDDR5 at up to 3200MHz. Shared between the system and GPU, no dedicated VRAM, but LPDDR5's bandwidth is massive compared to what indie games actually need. Room to breathe for multitasking: run your game, the social overlay, and background downloads simultaneously without choking.
Flexible storage: eMMC onboard from 0 to 256GB, plus a Micro SD slot for expansion. Install disc games to storage and play without the disc later. The OS itself is lightweight enough to leave most of the storage for your library. Hot-swap SD cards to carry your game collection.
WebGPU is the primary graphics path for web-based games, modern, fast, and cross-engine. Vulkan is available for native ARM titles that need direct GPU access. Wayland handles compositing for the dashboard UI. Three layers, each purpose-built, zero bloat.
8x DVD drive reads full-size 4.7GB discs in custom purple collector cases. Install once, play forever; the disc becomes your proof of ownership, not a requirement. Digital storefront for those who prefer downloads. Both paths, first-class.
A custom Armbian-based Linux build, stripped down and purpose-built for Warpdrive, tweakers, and modders alike. Open firmware: fully auditable, fully moddable. The dashboard is a web app you can theme and hack. Homebrew launcher ships out of the box. It's your console.
6nm fabrication means excellent power efficiency and low heat output. No fan required in most scenarios. The chip sips power compared to older nodes, keeping the console quiet, cool, and compact. Industrial silicon means long production availability, and no EOL surprises. I don't really know why 6nm is good. That's just what I've been told, and threw back up.
